‘Able to Manage’ is our 10 week money management programme whereby young people work one to one with a mentor to develop skills in money management, independence skills and enterprise skills.
Young people are given £10 to set up an enterprise of their own. Everyone came up with different ideas ranging from selling slime in Junior club to running a photo booth in Youth club.
Lewis Bradshaw completed the project and used the skills he learned to set up his own enterprise using only £9 to raise money for BYZ. He sold Ice lollies to our junior club members and made £17! Lewis later won an award for his project at our Youth Achievement Awards.
