As part of our Summer Holiday Club offer we delivered a fun-filled week of Commando Joes sessions for 8-11 year olds. The young people were set missions and challenges which saw them make an Amazon river crossing, trek to the North Pole and travel around the world. The challenges were all based on teamwork, cooperation and personal development, whilst allowing the young people to have fun and learn in the process. The Commando Joes programme offers lots of opportunities for cross curricular activities, which means young people can learn about the world around them, themselves and each other, through lots of different ways. The young people all gave a big ‘thumbs-up’ to the programme at the end of the week and were looking forward to doing more sessions in the future.
The Commando Joes sessions are now being run every saturday from 4:30-5:30pm, during Junior session.
