Proud Patrons of Blackburn Youth Zone ‘Fagan and Whalley’ are leading the way, painting the town orange to support young people with low-level mental health issues. ‘Paint the town orange’ is Blackburn Youth Zone’s first ever corporate challenge. Every penny raised will go towards funding a full-time targeted support worker; to help local young people with their life.
Fagan & Whalley recently took on a challenge to follow in the ‘footsteps’ of their own trucks, covering a 2980-mile route of the UK. Raising an incredible £2194.50 to add to the leaderboard.
Fagan & Whalley are a logistics, distribution and warehousing business. Founded in 1927, Fagan & Whalley remains a family business headed up by 5th generation brothers Graham and Stephen Fagan, with 6th generation in the business. With their focus on people and with deep roots in the area, the business is committed to its corporate responsibility and genuine commitment to the community. Fagan & Whalley joined our patron network in the height of the COVID-19 pandemic and are dedicated and remain committed to supporting their local community.
“Blackburn Youth Zone are incredibly grateful to Fagan and Whalley, they continue to amaze the charity with their generosity and commitment to our cause. Our incredible network of supporters allows us as a charity to continue to reach and provide support to young people and families across the borough.” Mel Thomas Fundraising & Patron Comms Lead.
Next Month, Fagan and Whalley will reveal and incorporate into their fleet a new branded vehicle. The truck has been designed in BYZ colours and will be seen across Blackburn with Darwen and the wider East Lancashire area. Another example of the partnership and the level of support being shown by Fagan and Whalley. This was a great opportunity for Blackburn Youth Zone to raise awareness of the charity across East Lancashire.
“We’re delighted to paint the town orange. Good Mental Health is so important, we’re proud to be supporting a much needed campaign helping our future generations build resilience and develop tools to overcome life’s difficulties. ” Olivia Fagan F&W Operations Planner
“We are truly blown away by the kindness and generosity from our proud patron, Fagan & Whalley, their continuous support provides Blackburn Youth Zone with the opportunity to encourage our younger generation to thrive and reach their potential, and we’re really looking forward to seeing the BYZ brand travel across Lancashire!” BYZ’s CEO, Hannah Allen
